2013 in Review and a Look Ahead

Wow … 2014 is already almost a week old.  Here in Winnipeg and in a lot of other areas of the Canada it has been COLD!!  Apparently, Winnipeg has been colder than Mars at least once this year.  Brrrrr ….

The good news is that spring and warmer weather is now only 72 days away and then, a few weeks after that, we can get back to complaining about how hot it is.

2013 was an eventful year.  After working at building my business on a half-time basis for two years, I finally took the plunge and went at it full time in January of 2013 and this month, am celebrating one full year of being a solopreneur. There have been successes and lessons learned.  There are have been moments of celebration and a few where I felt like throwing in the towel.

But here I am at the beginning of another new year and looking forward to more opportunities for success and learning more lessons.

There are a few projects that still need to be wrapped up and a few new projects on the horizon.  Here are just a few:

  1. Get the book published.  I have two chapters left to write and then time for some edits.  A number of phone calls are happening this week with industry experts and other authors who have taken on this daunting challenge.
  2. Launch on-demand, on-line training programs. The demo site is up, but some kinks still need to be worked out on some of the training modules. All kinks will be worked out by March 30th and the “big push” will happen in April.
  3. Introduce free webinars.  Four webinars will be offered in 2014, all about 45 minutes long and all free.  The first one, “Are you Customers Loyal or are they Lazy”  is scheduled for January 29th. If you would like to receive information on these webinars, click here.

With all these new projects and hopefully a lot more time spent with clients helping them build a strong customer service culture, my blog posts will be reduced to two times per week instead of three.  Over the next little while, the posts may be getting to you on different days and times as I try and figure out when the best time is to reach most of you, but all should have settled down by February.
