If you asked my husband, he’d tell you that I was a little bit crazy. Who decides, at the tender young age of 44 (yes, I am sharing that with you!) to leave behind a full time job with a hotel management group as their National Director of Sales & Marketing and with no formal training, decide to take a chance at a career in training & professional development?
Well, I did and it has been terrifying and rewarding all at the same time. When I finally made the decision to take that big leap into the unknown, my good fortune once again presented itself. The organization I was working for, Lakeview Management asked me to stay on and help them create and build a training & professional development program for them. In addition to taking that chance on me, they also agreed to let me work a very flexible schedule, which has allowed me the opportunity to start a business in partnership with a very smart and talented lady. Between the two of us, we are planning on taking on the world! Our new business is Servicedge Consulting and Training and as part of that venture, here I am …. entering the blogosphere.
This blog will be a mix of straightforward comments about my thoughts on what it takes to make it in today’s competitive business world. Along the way, I’ll probably throw in some personal stories about my own life journey, the truths I’ve learned along the way, the insights gained from others around with and examples of people who truly live and perform, passionately, every day.
I look forward to getting to know you as well.
